Challenges and Opportunities for Synthetic Biology in Asia

Event registration here.

How can Asia develop a vibrant and collaborative Synthetic Biology ecosystem? How can we develop local research, innovation, and talent growth? What are the unique challenges and opportunities in the region?

The Asian Synthetic Biology Association (ASBA) and the Singapore Synthetic Biology Technology Consortium (SINERGY) are co-organizing a half-day symposium with distinguished guests from China, Japan, Korea, and Singapore. The event will feature a keynote talk by Sn Yup Lee, one of the most influential synthetic biology innovator in the world, an overview of the synthetic biology state in the different countries, and a panel discussion where the speakers – and the audience – can reflect on how the Synthetic Biology can benefit the local ecosystems, fostering a culture of ambitious, collaborative, and equitable innovation.
